Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-07

Who this covers

This policy covers the Wyndo internal portal (this site) and, in general terms, the wyndo.co website. It applies to independent contractor sales representatives ("reps," "you") who use this application, to job applicants who apply through our recruiting page, and to visitors of wyndo.co. It also applies to homeowners and other customers who book an appointment, request a quote, or sign an agreement with Wyndo, and to anyone who receives text messages from Wyndo.

Entity note: Wyndo is not yet a separately incorporated legal entity. As of this writing, Wyndo operates under FJ Wright LLC dba Wright Roofing while formation of a separate Wyndo LLC is in progress. References to "Wyndo," "we," and "us" below mean FJ Wright LLC dba Wright Roofing, operating the Wyndo brand. This policy will be reissued under the new entity name once formation completes.

What we collect

To onboard you as a contractor, this application collects:

  • Contact information: name, phone number, personal email.
  • Tax information: your Social Security Number or Employer Identification Number, legal name, business name (if any), federal tax classification, and address, via the W-9 step.
  • Banking information: bank account and routing numbers, account holder name, and optionally a photo or scan of a voided check, via the direct deposit (ACH) step.
  • An electronic signature and the timestamp and IP address at the time of signing.
  • Apparel sizing and a mailing zip code, for gear provisioning.
  • Role, recruiter, and manager information, and your progress through this application's checklist.
  • Team chat messages and any photos you post to team chat.

Homeowners and customers

When you book an appointment or buy from Wyndo, we collect your name, address, phone number, email if you give it, details about your home and the windows you are replacing, your appointment times, your agreement and signature, and your financing choice. We use it to run your appointment, prepare and sign your agreement, order and install your windows, and keep you updated. If you apply for financing, you apply directly with the lender under the lender's own privacy policy.

Text messages

If you agree, Wyndo texts you about your appointment and your window project (homeowners) or about your onboarding (sales reps). Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Agreeing to texts is never a condition of buying from us or working with us. We use Twilio to deliver text messages. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Text Message Terms.

Why we collect it

SSN/EIN and banking information are collected because they are required to pay you as an independent contractor and to prepare tax filings (Form 1099) at year end. Your electronic signature is collected to record your acceptance of the independent contractor agreement and the direct deposit authorization. Contact and role information is used to communicate with you and route you to the right training, territory, and system access. Team chat exists to run day-to-day sales communication and recognition. We do not collect this information for advertising or marketing purposes, and we do not sell it.

How it's stored

Data is stored in a Postgres database (hosted by Supabase) and transmitted over an encrypted (TLS) connection. Sensitive records (SSN/EIN, banking information, signed agreement) are stored as opaque, non-indexed data rather than as plain searchable columns. This is a real technical control. We do not claim a dedicated, isolated security vault beyond what is described here, and we are working to harden storage further, including moving file-like records to dedicated private storage with signed access and tightening certificate validation on the database connection. We will update this policy as that work lands.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to actually pay you and meet our own legal obligations: with a payroll/commission processor and/or tax preparer to issue payment and your annual 1099, and with service providers who host or secure this application (currently Vercel for hosting, Supabase for the database, Twilio for text messages and Resend for email) under their own confidentiality obligations. We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Wyndo, our reps, or others.

Information collected through this portal is not shared with homeowner financing partners (such as Sunlight, Synchrony, or Hearth). Those relationships involve a homeowner's own credit application for a separate purchase, not a rep's onboarding data.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information won't be shared with any third parties.

How long we keep it

We retain contractor tax and payment records for as long as required by applicable tax law (generally a minimum of several years after the relevant tax year) and other onboarding records for as long as you are an active contractor plus a reasonable period after, unless a longer period is required by law or a shorter period is requested and we are able to accommodate it consistent with our legal obligations. Team chat messages are deleted on a rolling one-year basis; business records tied to a sale (deals, appointments) are kept as part of our permanent business records.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct, or request deletion of the personal information we hold about you (subject to what we are legally required to retain, such as tax records) by contacting your recruiter or manager, or by reaching out using the contact information below. Direct deposit is voluntary. You can request payment by an alternative method instead at any time, at no cost or penalty, by contacting your manager.

Job applicants

If you apply through our recruiting page, we collect your name, mobile number, email, your answers to the screening questions, the area you want to work in, how much of the overview video you watched, where the link came from, and whether you booked a call. We use it to decide whether to set up a call and to contact you about this job. When you book, Calendly handles the scheduling and receives your name, email and booking details. We don't sell it. We delete applicant records 12 months after your last activity unless you join the team. To have yours deleted sooner, email isaac@wyndo.co.

State-specific rights

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy law (for example, California's CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know what personal information is collected about you, request deletion, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Contact us using the information below to make a request, and we will confirm what applies to you and how to proceed.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls limiting who can view sensitive records. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we experience a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and any relevant regulators as required by applicable law.

Contact

Questions about this policy, or requests regarding your information, can be directed to your recruiter, manager, or to isaac@wyndo.co, or by phone at (208) 522-4474.
